Description Join Flo as he goes behind the scenes with the RAF’s world-famous Typhoon Display Team.
First he heads to RAF Coningsby, home to 29 Squadron and the permanent base for the TDT.
At Coningsby Flo talks to the 2024 Royal Air Force Typhoon Display pilot - Flight Lieutenant David ‘Turbo’ Turnbull.
‘Turbo’ gives his insights into this season’s Typhoon livery, on the jet, which is affectionately known as ‘Moggy’.
Turbo also describes how he mentally prepares for each display and how his teammates keep him humble.
Flo then heads to the Royal International Air Tattoo at RAF Fairford to speak to members of the TDT about their work promoting the team.
He also hears from a TDT engineer. They play a critical role keeping Moggy fit and airborne.
Finally we get to witness Turbo in action at RIAT and his ‘need for speed’!
