The shareholder representatives of the Eurofighter consortium have appointed Kurt Rossner from Airbus Defence & Space GmbH as the Chairman of the Supervisory Board with effect from 1st January 2019.
Kurt Rossner has accumulated over three decades of experience in the combat aircraft sector at Airbus and currently leads the combat aircraft business, based in Germany. His previous assignments included the lead of the A400M programme, the responsibility for Military Aircraft Flight Test, as well as senior international leadership roles in Saudi Arabia, Spain and Switzerland.
Eurofighter Jagdflugzeug GmbH also recently announced the appointment of a new CEO, Herman Claesen, who joined from BAE Systems, and commenced his role as of 1st January 2019.
